Little Flowers Prayer and Saint Card Organizer

I’ve begun my second year as a Little Flowers Girls’ Club leader, and I’m trying to keep things simple this year.  Well…simpler, anyway.  I’m hoping that our meetings inspire creativity more than chaos, and that they allow the purity of our spirituality to nudge tender hearts closer to sainthood.

I’ve been trying to plan crafts with less mess and more meaning.  We started the year off by creating something to hold the scripture cards, prayer cards, and virtue and saint cards that are part of the Little Flowers curriculum.

I bought inexpensive photo albums at Walmart…

…and made my own St. Therese and Little Flowers Girls’ Club stickers using the free templates at Avery.com.  (info about these templates found on the package of labels I purchased at Walmart).  We used these stickers to decorate the covers of the albums and…

This project was inexpensive and simple.  Creating my own stickers for them to use was an easy way for little hands to decorate the cover.  I plan to use Avery templates to create stickers for each saint we learn about this year so we can make a simple card for each one to add to our book.  I’m already finding this to be a much easier way to “scrapbook” about our saints and virtues than cutting and pasting pictures and quotes onto larger pages–especially for girls ages 5-7.  And it will leave us more time to practice the virtues we discuss!
